Hi, I'm Anthony Restaino
I'm a New York City based Android platform engineer, currently working at
Zillow, who enjoys working on metaprogramming tools. I got started working on
the Android platform by building the open-source Lightning Browser, and built
my first annotation processor to generate JSON parsers for the Gson library
(Stag) while working at Vimeo. These days, I maintain a Kotlin symbol processor
that provides static runtime access to resource files (Mezzanine), and a Kotlin
compiler plugin that generates testing mocks (Mockingbird). Besides programming,
I'm passionate about baking pizza and birding. Sometimes I give technical talks
at meetups and conferences. On weekends, I work to end food insecurity in
Brooklyn by helping to run the Fort Greene Fresh Pantry on Myrtle Avenue.
